Sunday Dec 14, 2014
Sunday Dec 14, 2014
Were in the second week of our Christmas series, What God Wants For Christmas. Last week we looked at the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and a life of surrender. Today were in Matthew chapter 1 where Pastor Clay is going to show us from the life of Joseph what a faith-filled life should look like. Faith is obviously a very important concept, but a lot of people have some misconceptions about what faith really is, and what it looks like in our lives.

Jesus, Week 39: The Real Action Hero
Sunday Nov 23, 2014
Sunday Nov 23, 2014
If you were with us last week you may remember that Jesus was asked three different questions. As Pastor Clay explained, those questions were really intended to trip Jesus up and to try to get Him into trouble with either the Roman authorities or with the people. As we've seen throughout this study in the book of Mark, the religious leaders didn't like Jesus and they were desperate to stop Him. Today in Mark chapter 12 verses 35 to 37 were going to see Jesus ask a question intended to help the people understand a very important truth.

Authority.'' Its a word that seems to have fallen on hard times in our current culture. These days, almost anyone or anything that is considered to be authoritative is questioned. Sadly, for many that even includes rejecting or ignoring Gods authority. Today in our series ''Jesus - The Real Action Hero,'' the religious leaders are becoming increasingly antagonistic toward Jesus and demand that Jesus tell them on what basis He is doing these things. Jesus response was more than they bargained for and can teach us a thing or two about authority.

Is there more to the story than we can initially realize? Probably! Lets dig into Gods word today as Pastor Clay explores the biblical concept of Gods expectations for those who claim His name.

Divorce, its word that brings up a lot of emotion for many of us. Broken dreams, broken promises, and broken lives are all part of aftermath of divorce. Today, we come to chapter 10 in the book of Mark, where Jesus was asked a question by some religious leaders about divorce. They were still struggling with understanding fully why Jesus came. And they were even beginning to fight among themselves about which one of them was the greatest. They had a lot to learn about what it really means to be a fully-devoted follower of Jesus, but we sometimes struggle with the same issues that the original followers of Jesus did. And the answer they needed to hear is the same one we need to hear today.

Sunday Jul 06, 2014
Sunday Jul 06, 2014
We're picking up where we left off last week in Mark chapter 9 and what we can learn from God's word about faith and why we come to Jesus. As we heard Pastor Clay explain last week, a lot of people come to Jesus for a lot of different reasons and hopefully last week's message has caused each of us to think about our motivation for coming to Him. What we have with God, and why we come to Him, is meant to be relational, and as we'll hear today, through Jesus Christ we become part of the family of God. And like any relationship we have, it should be a growing, vibrant thing where we enjoy being in Gods presence.

What is faith? On the surface that may seem like a simple question with a pretty simple answer, but for a lot of people the answer may need a little clarification. Were looking at a story of a man that desperately wanted his son set free from demon possession. So in faith the man brings his son to Jesus and his disciples to be healed. But when he comes to Jesus, the man's words indicate that he was unsure whether Jesus could help his son or not. The man honestly evaluated his own faith and asked the Lord to help him where his faith fell short. As Pastor Clay explains, this story from word of God has something to teach us today about our own faith.
