The am i Series (Part 10) - Text: 1 John 4:1-6

Do you remember that old television show where three people tried to convince a contestant to believe them about who they are and what they do? One person is telling the truth and the other two are lying. With cash and prizes on the line, the contestant has to guess which one is telling the truth. Well, in life all of us need to know who’s telling the truth and who isn’t, and there’s a lot more on the line than just cash and prizes.

We are making our way through the New Testament letters of 1, 2, and 3 John in "The am i? Series," a series designed to take a hard look at what it means to call myself a follower of Jesus and to ask the hard question, "am I really a follower of Jesus?" Today, we start into 1 John chapter 4, where we find the Apostle John stressing the importance of truth, the danger of those who bring untruth, and how we can discern the truth.

We are living in a time when truth is being questioned at every turn, or if there even is absolute truth. Pastor Clay is going to show us why it’s important to know truth, and what it means for our lives.
